Words
The words an answer uses, each at the scope it names.
- told
- A row supplied by a host, with its source and declared scope; it is not a conclusion of the program.
- derived
- A conclusion computed from admitted rules and the rows they rest on.
- reading
- An interpretation of a sentence, retained with the reader and basis that gave it.
- rival
- Another reading that remains possible and can change an answer.
- crossed
- Standing that keeps consequentially different readings and their answers apart until an authorised decision.
- pending
- Standing that names evidence still arriving or a need still unmet.
- bounded
- Standing limited to the stated evidence or computational bounds; the answer names which limit applies.
- established
- Standing for a claim checked under its admitted interpretation, inputs and stated assumptions.
- receipt
- Certificates have named scopes: closure receipts and answer trails.
- witness
- Evidence that establishes a positive claim at the scope the checker admits.
- lineage
- The dependencies an answer rests on, including the completeness needed for a negative.
- basis
- Everything a claim rests on, including its program, reader, inputs, declarations and assumptions.
- cover
- A declaration by a named source of which observations are complete, at which scope and time.
- need
- An input or determination the program requires and cannot supply for itself.
- door
- An unstated reason left open by a sufficient condition; its absence cannot be presumed.
- grant
- An authenticated permission to perform a named act within a declared scope.
- holder
- The party with authority to decide or adopt at the field’s scope.
- journal
- The append-only record of admitted acts, each retaining the basis on which it occurred.
- succession
- A compared and authorised replacement that states what changes and what it preserves.
- enclosure
- A checked lower and upper bound that contains a value under stated assumptions.
- epoch
- A period in which the admitted interpretation and the premises supporting its claims remain fixed.
- stratum
- An evaluation layer whose negative dependencies are settled by earlier layers.
- cone
- The rules and row patterns that can affect a particular question.
- closure
- The facts reached by applying the admitted rules until they produce no further facts.
- BCP 47
- The standard for language tags, such as en and fi, used to name a document’s language.
- sha256
- A 256-bit digest of exact bytes: a content identity, not evidence that the content is correct.
